Software:
Cthuugle is using HT://DIG on a fairly modified Mandrake box RedHat box, with many updates, and a custom kernel, and custom firewall. This box also serves: Rant Radio, Rant TV, Aegri Somnia, and muich much more!

Creator
Derek Anderson from Charged Multi Media created this site after seeing an interesting post in a forum. I have been a fan of Lovecraft mythos stories for years, and the concept of a Cthoogle hit a funny bone. I renamed the site to avoid a namespace collision, and came up with Cthuugle. Update: apparently there is a site called cthoogle, but I can never get it to load or me. Try it Cthoogle.com for yourself. Maybe it is just my firewall.

I would also like to thank William Johns for compiling and presenting this compendium of stories. Without his (and other people's) efforts, this search engine, and the contents would not be possible.

Why?
Because I can. Because nobody else was going to. Because I was tired of writing soulless e-commerce customer cart abandonment demographic correlation software.

Also because it was easy, and made me giggle.
